Why this project exists
Automotive websites usually present cars beautifully, but almost always in a passive way. I wanted to try a different approach: make the car itself the experience.
The idea was to create an interface where users do not simply look at the vehicle, but actually explore it, rotate it, get closer and interact with it in real time.
What I wanted to avoid
My main concern was not turning the 3D into a beautiful effect that gets in the way of navigation. The interface still needed to feel simple, fast and easy to understand, even with a more immersive visual experience.
How the experience works
The car remains the main element throughout the experience. Users can explore different angles, interact with the configurator and change visual elements without leaving the experience.
Design + development
I worked on the project from interface design through implementation, connecting UI/UX, motion and 3D rendering into a single experience.
The project was built with Next.js, React, Three.js, WebGL and Tailwind CSS.
The result
The result is an automotive website that feels more like a product experience than a traditional corporate website.
The 3D is not there just to grab attention. It is part of the way users discover and interact with the car.
